Xinyang Liu

I am a PhD student in the Department of Mathematics at Florida State University, in Tallahassee. I got my Bachelor degree at Beijing Institute of Technology in China and my Master degree at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands.

My current research is to develop shape models and tools to characterize normal anatomical variations as well as structural changes associated with diseases for various clinical populations of biomedical shapes. In particular, these models and tools are used to construct a hippocampal atlas from a given sample population, with the aim of understanding hippocampal structural changes between the early blind and the healthy control subjects.
